Monica Armani, born in 1964 in Trento, Northern Italy, is an architect, product and graphic designer, who lives and works in her hometown of Trento. Her designs are the result of research, synthesis and the perfection of an idea, in order to define sophisticated and measured objects. Anything unnecessary is rejected, and each project is continuously refined.
Monica’s project “progetto1”, was edited by B&B Italia in 2006. Her husband, Luca Dallabetta, joined her for this project, bringing his work on the engineering and industrialisation of architecture and design projects to the table. This collaboration between Monica and Luca has strengthened their relationship, both in life and in work.
The brand Monica Armani was subsequently created, with its communication, style and innovation making it a success in the Italian design world. Since 2008, together with her husband, Monica has dedicated all her time to architecture and design. Her projects are edited by some of the greatest contemporary design brands, such as B&B Italia, Boffi, Davide Groppi, Gallotti and Radice, Lualdi, Molteni & C, Moroso and Mutina. Luca and Monica’s projects are born from the interpretation of functionality, and sometimes technology, combined with their love of space, objects, systems and surfaces.
For Boffi she designed in 2010 Pianura, a shelf panelling system; this system is integrated in 2011 with new cabinets. In 2012 she desings the innovative Tape shower cubicle.
