Wolfgang Tolk

Designer Wolfgang Tolk

He attended University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig (Hochschule für Bildende Künste) and in 1981 went on to the Düsseldorf Fine Arts Academy.

In collaboration with Ingo Maurer, he designs the MINIMUM halogen lamp, presented in various European museums and included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Applied Arts in Cologne since 1989. In the same year he founded his studio told Cologne.

Since 1990 he has created and developed prototypes of minimalist and linear objects in steel and wood, in addition to his activity as an artist. He exhibits in Cologne, Chicago, Milan and Korttrjik (Belgium).

He collaborates with other Italian companies such as Allglass, Boffi, Cappellini, Porro, Living Divani.
For Boffi he designed the Flat Kap hood in 2002.
